Henrik Lundqvist let in one of this career-worst blooper-reel goals, letting in an intended dump-in shot from Nicklas Backstrom trickle right past his left toe. John Tortorella's face certainly spelled 'Strike 1..' and I bet you we will see Valiquette in 1 of the next two games.


Marian Gaborik was the undoubted hero.

And apart from Marc Staal, the best defenders in this game were identified by their roles on the penalty kill and blended together nicely contribution-wise. Del Zotto on the other hand, flexed his offensive muscles yet again in that gorgeous pass to Gaborik on goal #2.
